Ferry

Boat

Kintyre Express will be operating a ferry service between Campbeltown and Ballycastle.   Travel the Irish Sea passage in style, speed and comfort in approximately one hour thirty minutes!  Journeys will depart Campbeltown at 1200h and Ballycastle at 1400h. Car

By car, it takes just under 3 hours to get to Campbeltown from the centre of Glasgow.

Follow the A82 past Dumbarton and round beautiful Loch Lomond, the up through the Rest and be Thankful enjoying breathtaking views before heading onto Inveraray. Follow the road round Loch Fyne through Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig before arriving at the lovely village of Tarbert - the gateway to the Kintyre peninsula. With only a short distance to go, relax and enjoy your drive down the stunning west coast of Kintyre. On route, looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, you will see the islands of Gigha, Cara, Jura and Islay and if it is really clear the coast of Northern Ireland.


Car Share

As there will be over 300 people travelling to Campbeltown from outside Argyll, we want to make it as easy for you as possible to minimise your cost, and the environmental impact of all that travel. Bus

Alternatively, West Coast Motors and Scottish Citylink offer a 5 times daily coach service from Glasgow - timetable available from their website http://www.citylink.co.uk.


Flights

Direct flights from Glasgow International Airport to Campbeltown operate twice a day during the week leaving Glasgow in May 2013 at 0850h and 1635h and returning from Campbeltown 1000h and 1740h .
