23rd May 2008 - RACE UPDATE - Chip Timing for MOKRUN

MOKRUN organisers are pleased to confirm that this weekend's Mull of Kintyre races will be timed using electronic chips, provided by Race Timing Systems (RTS).

Arrangements were still being finalised at the time race packs went to print last weekend. The system will be a 'gun to chip' system, meaning, your time will be from the 'gun' and not when you cross the start line (potentially a few seconds later). As already stated in the race packs, runners should arrive to register between 8.30 and 10.00am, allowing plenty of time to collect and attach the chips (using ankle strip provided by RTS).

If you have any queries please contact race committee using contacts details in the race pack"
