Springbank Distillery Tours -
Saturday 29th May 2010 - 11.00am and 1pm
Why not take a tour
of Springbank Distillery while you are here in Campbeltown?
Springbank Distillery has kindly agreed to offer tours on
Saturday 29th May 2010 - starting at 11.00am and then again at
13.00. Tours normally last just under the hour and will
cost £5 per person. Well worth a visit!
Springbank
Distillery is unique. It is the oldest independent family owned
distillery in Scotland. Founded in 1828 on the site of Archibald
Mitchell's illicit still, the Springbank Distillery is now in
the hands of his great great great grand son, Hedley G. Wright.
Owned by Mr
Wright's J&A Mitchell & Co Ltd, Springbank is the only
distillery in Scotland to carry out the full production process
on the one site. 100% of the traditional floor malting,
maturation and bottling is done at the distillery in
Campbeltown.
It produces the
most hand made whisky in Scotland, with traditional production
methods being used throughout the process, and human involvement
at each and every stage.
It is the only
distillery in Scotland to have never chill-filtered, nor do we
add any artificial colourings to any of our single malts.
It is the only
distillery in Scotland to produce three different single malts,
Springbank,
Longrow and
Hazelburn, using three
different production methods.

Chris Moon walks the
talk. He's survived kidnap, threatened execution, being blown
up, losing his limbs and most of his blood. He ran a marathon
less than a year after leaving hospital, tested artificial limbs
to new limits, run most of the world's toughest ultra distance
races, climbed mountains, crossed countries on foot, written
books and most importantly used his experience to understand and
illustrate the process of achievement. He speaks with humour and
passion and has inspired people around the world.
And now he's coming to Campbeltown on the eve of MOKRUN 2010, to
gave an inspirational talk to runners in the Argyll Hotel on
Saturday 29 May at 5.00pm. One not to
be missed and likely to be packed out, get you name in early for
this
free event to
