Teenage Cancer Trust

This morning 6 teenagers heard the words “you have cancer”, 6 will hear it tomorrow and 6 the day after.

If you’re a teenager and unlucky enough to be diagnosed with cancer, chances are you’ll receive treatment on a ward with very young children or elderly patients.

TCT funds specialist teenage units in NHS hospitals, providing an environment where teenagers can get on with being teenagers, an environment we hope will improve survival rates and ensure a better future for patients and their families. We have 8 units – we need another 14 to reach every single young person with cancer in the UK. Why not challenge yourself and run for TCT, to help raise funds for these teenagers.

If you have any questions or would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Diabetes UK Scotland

There are 165,000 people in Scotland with diabetes and many more who have the condition but don’t yet know it. While possible to deal with diabetes is deadly to ignore, it can lead to heart disease, stoke, kidney disease and blindness.

There are 165,000 people in Scotland with diabetes and many more who have the condition but don’t yet know it. While possible to deal with diabetes is deadly to ignore, it can lead to heart disease, stoke, kidney disease and blindness.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and to work towards a future without diabetes. Diabetes UK Scotland is dedicated to putting the interests of people with diabetes first by providing research, campaigning and support.

We provide support and information for all people with diabetes, their families and carers. We campaign parliament, and work with healthcare professionals to ensure that people with diabetes receive the best standards of care and we fund a research programme addressing today’s needs and tomorrow’s cure.

Spinal Research

A spinal cord injury could happen to any one of us - we are all vulnerable to unexpected events like a serious fall, road traffic accident or a sports injury.

Over 40,000 people in the UK alone are paralysed as a result of spinal cord damage and the effects can be devastating.  But there is hope… Spinal Research is dedicated to finding ways to repair damaged spinal cords and restore sensation and movement to people paralysed by spinal injury.  Ultimately our aim is to end the terrible threat of permanent paralysis caused by a spinal cord injury
