2011 MOKRUN Race Date
Confirmed
- Sunday 29th May. The 6th Mull of Kintyre Half
Marathon and 10k has been confirmed will take
place on Sunday 29th May 2011 (May bank holiday
weekend). Further information on the event and
entry information will come available in the
next few months. |

Welcome to the website for
the 2010 Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon & 10k.
This year the races will be run on Sunday 30th
May 2010 at 10.30am. In 2009, 550 runners from
all over the UK took part. For 2010 we are
adding an extra 50 places.
The 10k race is around three sides of
Campbeltown Loch, and is mainly very flat. The
half-marathon route leaves the town and runs
through the countryside and across the new
Machrihanish Dunes Golf Course, and includes
around a kilometre on the hard sandy beach of
Westport. The final mile of both races is on a
slight down gradient into the town and through
the main street.
Once again we'll be holding a pasta party on
Saturday night before the race, and the weekend
wouldn't be complete without the post race
Sunday night ceilidh. Check out “Other events
over race weekend” for details of what’s planned
for runners and their families.

6th May 2010 - Kid's
Junior Fun Run ONLY 20 PLACES
LEFT FOR KID'S JUNIOR FUN RUN. There will be a
2K Junior Fun Run for 11 - 14 year olds at the
main finish area on Kinloch Green at 12 noon
followed by a 1K Junior Fun Run for 6 - 10 year
olds at 12.20pm. Prizes will be awarded at the
main prize giving at 1pm. All finishers will
receive a medal and goody bag. No entries will
be accepted on the day so please enter in
advance by downloading form from by clicking
here and sending along with £5 payment. |
